Viral Chase Bank Glitch Leads to Horrible Results

A glitch in Chase Bank ATMs went viral on TikTok, but has now led to massive consequences. The glitch allowed users to deposit a check and immediately have access to the amount deposited, even if those funds weren’t available in the checking account.

Since then, some people who tried to take advantage of the glitch have been hit with negative account balances into five figures.

A Chase spokesperson said in a statement,

We are aware of this incident, and it has been addressed. Regardless of what you see online, depositing a fraudulent check and withdrawing the funds from your account is fraud, plain and simple.
