The Pandemic Provided More Twitter Users While many people gained weight during the pandemic, Twitter gained more users. According to the numbers, Twitter grew to 199 million users in the first quarter of the year. A 20% rise from the 166 million a year ago. outside the U.S. the platform had a 22% rise in users.
