Tory Lanez Denied New Trial, Facing 9 Years In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting
Rapper Tory Lanez has been convicted of Felony assault in the December 2022 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, and his request for a new trial has officially been denied.
As Tory was escorted out of the courtroom, he pleaded with the judge saying,
Your honor, please don’t ruin my life.
Tory attorneys filed a motion for a new trial arguing in part that certain evidence presented at trial and some statements made by witnesses on the stand were prejudicial to their client, including an Instagram post where Tory’s verified account commented on the case and a photo of his gun tattoo.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney spoke to reporting about his upcoming sentencing,
The sentencing range on this case is roughly nine years all the way up to 22 years and eight months.
He added that the minimum would be approximately nine years.
Do you think Tory deserves a new trial?
