The Weeknd Says He Will Boycott The Grammys Going Forward After 2021 Nominations Snub The Weeknd is done with the Grammys. The artist made this statement to The New York Times, “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys”. The Weeknd’s latest album, “After Hours”, has been highly successful as well as “Blinding Lights”, which the artist expected to receive a nomination for. He also stated that because he didn’t receive any nominations, he feels that he’s not invited to the ceremony, so going forward he will be boycotting the Grammy Awards. Do you think he has a right to be upset or do you think it’s just a part of being in a competitive industry? Do you think the Grammy Award officials take note when an artist feels snubbed by the organization?
