The Soul Train Awards Moving to the Apollo Theater The Soul Train Awards are headed to New York’s famed Apollo Theater. BET announced the location change on Monday marking the first time the awards show will be held in New York. After last year’s show was virtual, this year’s ceremony will be taped on November 20. Since its start in 1987, the ceremony has taken place in Las Vegas, Atlanta, and L.A. Were you a fan of Soul Train? Do you think there are too many awards shows?
