T’Challa Will Not Be Recast In ‘Black Panther 2’ Acknowledging that no one could adequately fill Chadwick Boseman’s shoes, Marvel has announced that the role of T’Challa will not be recast in the Black Panther sequel. In a statement regarding the decision, studio president Kevin Feige called the late star’s performance “iconic” and notes it “transcends any iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past.” Feige added that another Wakanda resident may be the focus in the second installment, which is scheduled for release in July 2022. Boseman died at the age of 43 from colon cancer back in August. How do you feel about Marvel’s decision?
