T-Pain Says Usher Lied About Them Patching Things Up Over Hurtful Auto-Tune Comments T-Pain recently sat down with Angie Martinez and said Usher never apologized to him about his autotune comments, even though Usher said he had during a Billboard interview.  “I texted him and I was like, ‘Yo, I know you saw what happened. I know you saw the interview.’ ‘Cause I told his A&R about the interview years ago because he was asking me to work with Usher,” T-Pain told Martinez. “So I hit Usher after the interview came out and I’m like, ‘I’m sure you saw what happened. That was the truth, that’s what happened, you definitely said that.’ I remember that whole day.” Pain said Usher texted him back saying a conversation would be better than text but never followed up with the rapper.  T-Pain spoke about the conversation during Netflix’s “This Is Pop” where he revealed Usher had told T-Pain that his autotune, “F_ked up music,” leading to a four-year depression for T-Pain.  Did something that was said to your lead to depression or carry on into your adult life?
