SZA Equals Whitney Houston Chart Record With ‘SOS’

Whitney Houston set a chart record almost 40 years ago with her song “I Will Always Love You.” Now, Top Dawg Entertainment singer SZA’s second album is at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for the seventh week in a row.
In the last week, it sold about 111,000 album-equivalent units. Since Whitney Houston’s album Whitney in 1987, SOS is the first R&B album to spend its first seven weeks at number one. When it came out, Whitney was the first R&B album by a woman to go straight to the top of the chart.
