Swizz Beatz talks about music he is creating for ‘Godfather of Harlem’ ‘Godfather of Harlem’ is in season 2 and is still heating up the TVs as well as everyone’s ears. Swizz has been with the show since day 1 offering to curate the music to help drive the story. Swizz Beatz in a recent interview talks about the heavy-hitters that participated in the musical curation of season 2. He said, “We’ve been picking artists that have the character and the feel for the show. And making it more about them playing a musical character in the show from a sonic level rather than picking everybody that got No. 1 hits on the radio just to be cool.” Swizz also says ‘Been to War’ is the perfect depiction of the show’s character and feel. He said, “That energy was a DMX energy. [I] just wanted to keep him involved in ‘Godfather of Harlem’ because he loved movies. He’s an actor himself. He’s a big fan of Forest. And, those are actually the last vocals that I’ve done with him personally.” Swizz also mentioned DMX’s new album ‘Exodus’ and said there will be more ‘Verzuz’ battles to announce soon. Who would you like to see in the next ‘Verzuz’?
