Nintendo has always offered the best in split-screen gaming, and still does to this day. One of the most important games at the height of local multiplayer was Super Smash Bros., originally launched in Japan on January 21, 1999, and eventually to North America in April of 1999.
The Super Smash Bros. series has certainly improved over time, and with it’s latest release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the amount of playable characters have increased tenfold. The original game for N64, however, plays just as great as the day it was released, and set the bar for future titles in the series.
