Snoop Dogg Fuels International Conflict with Concert Blunder

Inadvertently upsetting some diplomatic ruffles, Snoop Dogg incorrectly identified a region in the South Caucasus as belonging to an adversary state.

The West Coast rap superstar revealed on Monday (September 4) that he will be playing in Armenia, a nation in Asia, later this month. However, he also referenced the Republic of Artsakh, which is not a part of Armenia.

He said on IG,

My beloved Armenian people. I am thinking of you and sending love to all Armenian people in Armenia, Artsakh and around the world. I’m bringing love and peace and wishing everyone strength. I’m coming, September 23rd!!!!!!”

Azerbaijan, which has been embroiled in a protracted and sometimes violent conflict with Armenia for control of the area, recognizes the territory of Artsakh, a separatist state on the boundary between Eastern Europe and West Asia.

What’s the worst mistake you have ever made online? Who called you out on this mistake?
