‘Sesame Street’ adds 2 Black Muppets to talk clearly about race and racism

‘Sesame Street’ Adds 2 Black Muppets To Talk Clearly About Race and Racism Sesame Street is introducing two black muppets. They are Wes and Elijah and are father and son. They are introducing the 2 muppets in an effort to help children understand racial literacy. Wes and Elijah will be introduced in a short online video. In the video Elmo wants to know why Wes’ skin is brown. Wes’ father, Elijah, explains melanin and how the color of our skin is an important part of who we are.
