Police Perform Welfare Check On Ja Morant Following Cryptic Online Posts

Sheriff’s officials in Tennessee say Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is “fine” after he posted a series of cryptic messages on Instagram that seemed to indicate he was suicidal.
The posts, which appeared Wednesday before being deleted a short time later,
However, when Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies performed a welfare check on the 23-year-old NBA player, they found him to be OK.
There’s no word on why he posted the cryptic messages. The Grizzlies recently suspended Morant from all team activities after a video of him holding a gun circulated on social media.
Did deputies do the right thing by leaving Morant alone after he posted those messages? Why should they have done?
