Claire participates in Soccer and Basketball at Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City. She carries a 4.275 GPA. Claire says that her older sisters, Jennifer and Kostas are her role models and her dad is her sports role model. Her greatest achievement so far is she “ranked fifth all-time in OHSAA for career shutouts and that her team has five district championships between her two sports”. After high school, she plans to major in economics and play soccer.
Claire said “I have learned valuable lessons on cooperation, determination and good leadership that I only could have learned through high school athletics, which has made me a better person. I love the competitive nature of soccer and the exhilarating feelings that follow after I make a save. I also have always loved the pressure and responsibility that comes with being a goalie.”
The Tippecanoe High School Principal said “Not only is Claire a talented student and athlete, but also a leader and positive citizen for her community. Claire displays a positive attitude in and out of the classroom.”
She loves the Philly Cheesesteak at the Penn Station in Troy and her favorite book is “All the Light We Cannot See”.
Claire’s parents are Lynn and Jim Hinkle and her siblings are Jennifer, Kostas and Matt.
Congratulations, Claire on being named Penn Station Athlete of the Month for February, 2018!
