Ohio ends sales tax on glasses and contact lenses

Eyeglasses and contact lenses purchased in Ohio will no longer subject to state sales tax.   The change went into effect Monday.  eyeglasses and contact lenses now join hearing aids, prescription drugs and other medical devices that are exempt from the tax!  Taxpayers are expected to save an estimated $23 million to $30 million a year.
