Nicki Minaj‘s ex-manager, Sickamore, recently opened up about the time he was working for Nicki and explained why he decided to quit before her big break.

Sickamore said,

She had this Vibe magazine shot, you know, it’s like a two-page spread, and she had a diner, and she got to the place, and I wasn’t there, and she didn’t have no trailer.

He continued,

She had to change in the bathroom, and she called me like flipping out, as she should, and then I was c**ky. I was like, ‘Man, I don’t need all of this. Just don’t worry about it, you can find your own manager.

He added,

So she calls me back, she gave me an opportunity, she’s like, ‘Are you sure? Like, you sure you know what you’re doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, my own mother don’t talk to me like this. I’m not going to let anybody talk to me like this.
