New DMX, Swizz Beatz, and French Montana Collab “Been to War” Released A new song has been released in conjunction with the new Epix original series, Godfather of Harlem. “Been to War” features DMX, Swizz Beatz, and French Montana and is the first posthumous song to be released featuring DMX who died last Friday (April 9).  Forest Whitaker leads as Bumpy Johnson, a crime boss that ruled the New York underground in the 1960s. This is the second season Swizz Beatz will curate music for the series.  Swizz has been posting archival footage of DMX on his social media pages since his passing and floods of tributes have been pouring in from all corners of the Hip-Hop community.  Final arrangements for DMX have yet to be announced. “Been to War” can be heard on all streaming platforms.  What are your thoughts on “Been to War?” Did you see the first season of Godfather of Harlem?
