Nelly’s Low-Turnout College Concert Goes Viral As Video Spreads

Nelly performed at a school event that the student government organized and to which all students had free admission.  The show was delayed due to low turnout, but Nelly eventually took the stage and performed his set. While the venue floor was filled, TikTok video showed the empty stands.

Many students were unfamiliar with Nelly, attending the show simply because it was free.  Many college students are 18–22; thus, they were not born when Nelly was at his best in the early 2000s.

Have you ever been to a concert where you didn’t know the acts? How did it turn out?
