Mechad Brooks Would Love To Play DMX in a Biopic If a biopic is done about DMX, actor Mechad Brooks says he “would be blessed” to play the Yonkers-born rapper. He talked about how honored he would be to play the late rapper during a recent interview saying, “I grew up with a varied taste in music, and so when I heard DMX, I was like, this our rockstar.” DMX died on April 9 at the age of 50.
