Kodak Black Files Motion to Dismiss Pills Case

Kodak Black’s lawyer is advocating for his narcotics possession charge to be dismissed, arguing his pain medicines were over the counter and lawful. The “Super Gremlin” rapper was arrested in Ft. Lauderdale in July 2022 for possession and trafficking oxycodone, but his motion to dismiss, obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, showed that the pills were Tylenol.

Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, also accuses the Broward Sheriff’s Office of a huge cover-up, including FBI Special Agent James Mitchell, whom Cohen claims is biased against Kodak. He claims prosecutors tried to hide a body cam video of an officer surveilling Kodak, claiming he’s “always ready” while the camera focused on the cop’s pistol.

Cohen claims that the tested tablets were destroyed, and officials never supplied a report, even though they were over-the-counter painkillers. The motion claims it was a “coordinated takedown” of Kodak, and Cohen wants the case dismissed.

Do you think Kodak’s lawyer will succeed in getting his case dismissed? Why or why not?
