Roc Nation is accused of stealing hit singles by A$AP Ferg and GloRilla. Houston music producer Kerry D. Brown accused Jay-Z‘s company of using his copyrighted beats without permission, per AllHipHop.com.
The claims involve A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane” from 2017,
and GloRilla’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” from 2022,
Brown met Roc Nation VP Lenny Santiago at “The Dealmakers Conference” in Houston in 2015, according to the lawsuit. Brown gave Santiago instrumentals to build a relationship but didn’t transfer music rights. In addition to seeking legal fees, Brown and Krushial K. Productions are suing for copyright infringement and unfair competition.
