Issues That Could Delay Stimulus Checks

FILE - In this April 23, 2020, file photo, President Donald Trump's name is seen on a stimulus check issued by the IRS to help combat the adverse economic effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, in San Antonio. A number of taxpayers who use tax preparation services, such as H&R Block and TurboTax, say their second relief payments were sent to the incorrect bank account. H&R Block, TurboTax Confirm Issue That Could Delay Stimulus Payments Some H&R Block and TurboTax customers are having issues with their stimulus payments. TurboTax tweeted Wednesday that an IRS mix-up sent some payments to closed or inactive accounts, which could cause delays for some customers in getting their payments. H&R Block says customers who used the ‘IRS Get My Payment’ tracker might see the wrong account number displayed – but say payments will still be sent to the account used for their 2019 tax refund. People can check the status of their stimulus payment using the ‘Get My Payment’ tracker at irs.gov. Have you received your payment yet?  Did you use the tracker?
