Grammy Winner Ciara Joins Color Purple Movie Musical Ciara is joining the movie musical cast of The Color Purple. She will play the adult role of Nettie. She joins Fantasia who plays Celie, Danielle Brooks who plays Sophia, Taraji P. Henson who plays Shug and Corey Hawkins as Harpo. Young Nettie will be played by Halle Bailey.
