Former CNN Anchor Bernard Shaw Dies at 82

Former CNN Anchor Bernard Shaw Has Passed Away Bernard Shaw, one of the early anchors on CNN, has passed away. He was 82 years old. His family said he died from pneumonia-unrelated to Covid. CNN launched in 1980 and Bernard was the network’s first chief anchor. He was known for anchoring presidential debates and his coverage of the Gulf War in 1991. He retired from CNN in 2001. Prior to CNN he worked at the Washington Bureau for CBS News and was also at ABC News. He is survived by his wife and two children.
