Empire Star Jussie Smollett attacked in a hate crime in Chicago

“Empire” star Jussie Smollett was attacked by 2 men who beat him up, put his head in a noose and screamed, “This is MAGA country.”  Once the attackers then fled the scene, Jussie drove himself to Northwestern Hospital where he was later released and is in good condition.  The Chicago Police Department released the following statement.  Read it below.
