Ice-T’s “Daily Game” podcast features the rapper breaking down a helpful quote for life lessons.

In a recent episode, Ice said being great and humble aren’t mutually exclusive, and he pointed to Eminem as an example.

Ice shared that it’s what people say behind your back that matters most. He said when meeting Eminem for the first time, he asked him what he wanted out of the game, and his response was longevity, like Ice-T and Dr. Dre.

Ice’s advice to Em was,

Be a beast on the mic and be humble in real life

Ice says he thinks Eminem followed his advice. Ice says,

If you can rap like him, you don’t need to tell people you are a great rapper. You show it, and you prove it. So you could be dope, and in real life, you don’t have to be walking around telling people who you are; that’s corny. Let them say it!
