Common to Make Broadway Debut in Pulitzer-Winning Drama

Common To Make Broadway Debut in Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama Looks like Common is making a run at achieving EGOT status.

He currently holds an Emmy for co-writing the song Letter to the Free for Ava DuVernay’s Netflix documentary, 13. He has Grammy’s because of course, he’s Common! And he has an Oscar for his song Glory along with John Legend. They won for Best Original Song.

So now he is headed to Broadway to act in the production of Between Riverside and Crazy. The production will debut in November. All eyes will now be on Common to see if he can turn his EGO into an EGOT. That answer won’t come until the Tony Awards in June 2023.
