Cardi B And Offset Sued Over Nonpayment For Mansion Featured In Their Music Video

Cardi B and Offset are being sued for using a Beverly Hills property in Offset’s directorial music video for “Like What.” The property owner sued the pair for misrepresenting their plans to shoot a TikTok video instead of a music video to save leasing payments.

According to court records acquired by TMZ, the homeowner let Cardi, Offset, and their entourage use the property for free, thinking it was for a short TikTok video.  The owner claims he would have charged the correct rent if he had realized the property was being utilized for a high-production music video with over 27 million YouTube views. The homeowner seeks damages over $35,000. Cardi B responded to the charges by denying them and fighting back.

She responded to the case on social media, saying she paid $10,000 in cash for 24-hour house use and extra expenses for overstaying. Cardi claims that the property owner and realtors were present throughout the shoot and knew it was a music video.
