Barack Obama Opens Up About His Love for Jay-Z’s “My 1st Song” Complex magazine asked Barack Obama if there was a verse he could recite by heart. He named, My 1st Song from Jay-Z’s The Black Album. But Barack said, don’t ask him to rap the song tho. My daughter’s have rolled their eyes, covered their ears. They think it’s painful. He said one line has a personal connection to him. Treat my first as my last and my last as my first and my thirst is the same as when I came. He said he listened to the line a lot during his presidency.
