Of course, cinema’s biggest night set trends across social media on Sunday night (March 12). One of the viral moments came after Angela Bassett lost Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Jamie Lee Curtis received the award after a long wait to hold a gold statuette. As she celebrated, the camera panned to Bassett, who stared blankly.

“I know it looks like I’m standing up here by myself, but I am not. I am hundreds of people…we just won an Oscar.”
