21 Savage Says Owning His Masters Banks More Money Than Touring

21 Savage Says Owning His Masters Banks More Money Than Touring You always hear about artists owning their masters and you may be wondering, “why is this such a big deal?” Well, during his appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast 21 Savage explains why.  “I own my masters right now. Every song you’ve ever heard, I own it,” said 21. “I got a 70/30 split with my label. I make more money off my album sales than I do off touring. For a lot of rappers, most of their money comes from touring.” 21 Savage, 28, discussed owning his masters after the success of his 2016 collab EP with Metro Boomin’. 21 did a deal with L.A. Reid’s Epic Records which gave him 100 percent ownership of all his master recordings.  What was the best financial advice you’ve ever received?
