The Fashion Meets Music Festival has removed headliner R. Kelly after public backlash from fans, artists, and sponsors.

The festival, which takes place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, released a statement on the matter. “We wanted to make sure we heard the Columbus listeners... to make a statement and support the city we live in,” said spokeswoman Melissa Dickson.

The decision came after Columbus-based band Saintseneca removed themselves from the lineup. “We feel his selection as a performer ignores his very serious allegations of sexual violence and assault,” the band released in an online statement.

Other acts at the festival include Michelle Williams, O.A.R., and Cold War Kids. There will be no replacement for Kelly’s spot at the festival.

Originally intended to be released tomorrow, Nicki’s new single “Anaconda” will now release August 4th.

The release delay comes after backlash for the “Anaconda” cover that we’ve all seen by now. The delay may be because Minaj is featured on a Jessie J and Ariana Grande track “Bang Bang” being released tomorrow as well.

If anyone knows the stress of following up a classic debut album, it’s Nas. His 1994 “Illmatic” was dubbed a classic when it dropped, and he spoke with Complex to give advice to Kendrick.

“Yeah, I daresay it’s the same thing. After my first record, Illmatic, people were waiting. Their anticipation for my first album was huge, but the anticipation for my second album, It Was Written, was way crazier.

“He’s just set up for his second offering. The [anticipation] is through the roof. It’s such a great place to be for someone who’s a writer, especially in a business today where it’s about singles and records that just go off in the club.

“So whatever he does, in my opinion, will be appreciated but at the same time he knows he has to bring it. It’s about challenges, right?”

T.I. recently gave an interview addressing rumors that he’s ghostwritten for fellow artist Iggy Azalea.

“I mean, I ain’t no ghostwriter,” he said. “Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world her own way.”

“I couldn’t put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. You know what I’m saying? She just has a different way of presenting herself and her art. So, I mean don’t get me wrong, everybody in the studio helps with hooks and certain things like that. That goes for me and any of the other top five rappers, performers. You want the best ideas.”

This comes after many speculated Nicki Minaj of throwing shade at Iggy for ghostwriting during the BET Awards.

Lisamarie Wade is suing the rapper and his entourage along with Live Nation Entertainment and Roc Nation after an alleged incident at Made in America in Philadelphia last August.

Wade claims that she suffered whiplash when Rocky landed an open-hand slap on her face. She also claims she still suffers from "muscle spasm, migraine headaches, intense pain that radiates from her shoulders and into her arms and fingers, and exacerbation of pre-existing conditions."

This isn’t the first incident involving A$AP Rocky or A$AP Mob. In June 2013, A$AP Rocky appeared to slap a female fan in the face during a performance in Sydney, Australia.

It appears that Philly rapper Meek Mill will remain in jail until at least September. According to a news report from Philly.com, one of the Maybach Music Group musician’s lawyers, Christopher Warren, requested an emergency hearing, which was later rejected by the judge who sentenced Meek.

Warren revealed to Philly.com that he’s unaware of why exactly the rapper was jailed in the first place.  "All I'm asking for is a hearing to learn why [his jailing] is constitutional and they won't even give me that," Warren said.

Although Warren’s requests were turned down, the lawyer says he now plans on filing a writ of mandamus. The writ of mandamus is an order, which asks that a higher court demand that the judge in the matter, Judge Genece Brinkley, hold an emergency hearing for Meek. "The last thing I want to do is go running to another judge to tell another judge what to do. But we have no choice," the lawyer said.  Warren plans on filing the order on Monday (July 21).

Meek Mill was arrested earlier this month over what was reportedly his behavior while on probation, he previously posed with a gun in a picture posted on Instagram, and was sentenced to three to six months in jail.  Days after Meek’s arrest, Maybach Music Group founder Rick Ross issued a statement on the matter.  “Yesterday, my brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues,” Ross said in the second half of his statement. “It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek’s plan as close to schedule as possible. His album is coming. We ask that the fans and the media continue to support him and his music during this time. He’ll be home soon. ‘Dreams Are Worth More Than Money’, and family is worth more than Everything. MMG FOR LIFE.”

The studio and filmmakers behind the N.W.A biopic are distancing themselves from a casting call sent out earlier this week. Universal Pictures said in a statement "the filmmakers... did not approve and do not condone the information in this casting notice. We regret and sincerely apologize for being in any way associated with the offensive descriptions it contained."

The casting call, sent out by Sande Allesi Casting which you can find here, looked for four classes of women ranging from “A Girls” to “D Girls.” The description for A Girls stated “these are the hottest of the hottest. Models. MUST have real hair. You can be black, white, asian, hispanic, mid eastern, or mixed race too,” while the description for D Girls was for “African American girls. Poor, not in good shape. Medium to dark skin tone.”

I think it’s safe to say Drake is still upset about not winning Best Rap Album at the Grammy’s almost six months ago.

Drake, who hosted the awards, performed his song "Honorable Mention" and threw in the line "real talent doesn't always win championships, like real music doesn't always win Grammys." Then that picture of Macklemore popped up behind him.

Do you feel like Drake makes a good point or you think he should just let it go? Let us know in the comment section down below.

Drake’s fourth album title was revealed today. His next album will be called “Views From The 6.”

According to this article, Drake has yet to start recording for the album. It’s going to be hard to find time to record too; Drake will be hosting The ESPYs on ESPN tomorrow and the first two albums from artists on his record label drop on July 29.

Drake and Lil Wayne are also gearing up for a Capcom sponsored co-headlining tour that will feature battles. "A lot of people still don't know it's a real thing, but it's real and it's going to be very competitive,” Drake said last week. Read more about that here.
