Boxer Adrien “The Problem” Broner got it handed to him Saturday night in San Antonio by Argentina’s Marcos Maidana.

Naturally, because Broner, who had never been beaten before,  is know for talking a lot of smack, was the object of intense Twitter, er, scrutiny shall we say. Yep, everybody had something to say about Broner’s first defeat.

But what about his mentor, Floyd “Money” Mayweather? Interestingly, Money’s comments were kind of muted  with respect to Broner’s beatdown (what else could he say, duh?). Here’s what he told Hip Hollywood on the red carpet of his annual Celebrity Classic Toy Drive on Sunday.

“Adrien Broner is a true champion. I love him. I take my hat off to him,” he said. “When you’re at the top, everybody wants to ride the wave, be by your side. But as soon as you take a loss, everybody wants to talk bad about you. It comes with the territory. When you’re competing, someone has to win, someone has to lose … I’m going to stand behind him.”

Choosing his words carefully, boxing legend Sugar Shane Mosley characterized Broner as “real champion.”

“I take the good out of it. I seen a young kid who had a great chin, had a lot of heart. He got knocked down, got back up and fought all the way to the end.”

Jamie Foxx was also on the scene and in his opinion it was all about Broner being humbled (in the match)  as in it’s a learning lesson.

“Sometimes the universe will humble us, but you know, brush it off and come back.”

A physical altercation outside a Washington, D.C. hotel has led to R&B star Chris Brown’s probation being revoked. According to reports, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin made that decision this week after reviewing the arrest report associated with the D.C. incident.

This is the second time Brown’s probation has been revoked this year. The earlier repeal was the result of his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run accident and failing to complete mandatory community labor for the 2009 assault on Rihanna. The judge added an additional 1,000 hours to the singer’s requirement. He has until August to finish the remaining 940 hours.

Brown was not sentenced to jail time because he is currently completely 90 days in court-ordered rehab. He is said to be doing well in the program. The Virginia native will need to report back to court on February 10th.

Digital retailer iTunes is the exclusive seller of Beyonce’s new fast-selling self-titled surprise album through at least Dec. 18, when some brick-and-mortar retailers in the U.S. could begin to receive copies of the album.

Target has announced it will not be one of them.

“At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections,” Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski tells Billboard.

She continues, “While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce’s new self-titled album ‘Beyonce.’”

Columbia Records released “Beyonce” at 12 a.m. EST on the morning of Friday, Dec. 13, exclusively via iTunes without any pre-release announcement. Most physical retailers will receive it by Friday, Dec. 20. It is understood that the album will not have any additional bonus or exclusive content, for any retailer.

Bey has previously worked with Target to give the retailer exclusive editions of her albums. Her last studio release, 2011′s “4,” had a version exclusive to Target that came with six additional tracks. She also starred in a TV commercial for the retailer, where the singer can be heard saying “I put so much into my new album, and only Target gives you all of it.”

Billboard estimates that iTunes is the largest seller of music in the U.S., with about a 41% share of the market in 2012. Walmart had 10%, while Amazon (9%) and Target (5%) were the third and fourth-largest sellers, respectively.

However, another major retailer, Walmart, will be carrying “Beyonce” — and it should be in their stores by the end of the week.

Walmart is “happy to be able to carry her album and support all physical music,” says Walmart spokesperson Sarah McKinney. (As per Walmart’s long-standing policy, they will only carry the non-explicit version of “Beyonce.”)

“Beyonce” set sales records in the iTunes Store after only three days on sale. According to iTunes and Columbia Records, Beyonce’s record label, the album sold 617,000 copies in the U.S. and 828,773 total worldwide through Sunday night (Dec. 15). That marks both the largest single week ever in both the U.S. iTunes Store, and, the fastest-selling album worldwide in the iTunes Store.

The day that a lot of folks said would come … has come.  When Khole Kardashian & Lamar Odom were first married the betting was that they wouldn’t last a year.

Well, they obviously beat those expectations because they were married in September of 2008 and it’s now December, 2013.

Yep, they had a four year run as Mr. and Mrs, but as of today, if TMZ‘s reporting is correct (and it usually is), Khloe is heading  to court to end the marriage.

The soon to-be ex Mrs Odom will be citing irreconcilable differences in her legal docs as the reason they are separating. Oh yeah, the Odom-Kardashian split shouldn’t reslly even need lawyers. That’s because anironclad prenup kept all their assets separate. And on top of that, they have no children.

TMZ claims that Lamar Odom’s wacked out freestyle rap video (see it below) – in which he brags about cheating on Khloe – was the last straw in their crumbling relationship.  Immediately after the video was posted last month, Khloe stopped wearing her wedding ring.

But of course the bizarre freestyle video was preceded by Odom’s bizarre behavior, AKA his reported crack addiction/usage, earlier this year.

In other words, like everybody predicted, it was all just a matter of time.

Beyonce released an unexpected self-titled album that surprised fans today (December 13). The singer's new project includes collaborations with her husband, Jay Z and their daughter, Blue Ivy among others, including Drake, Frank Ocean and Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche.

Beyonce is a visual album which is available exclusively on iTunes. The songs are slated to be available for individual purchase December 20, according to iTunes. The project includes separate videos for each song. The videos were directed by several people, including Hype Williams and Terry Richardson.

Beyonce, 2013's most searched musician according to, performed at the Super Bowl earlier this year. She has also toured around the world with her "Mrs. Carter Show," a tour run that is slated to come to a close December 22 in Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center.

Blue Ivy's appearance on Beyonce's "Blue" is not her first appearance on a song. In January, Blue became the youngest artist to appear on the Hot 100 chart thanks to her featured artist billing on Jay Z's "Glory," a selection Jay Z released shortly after his daughter's birth, as per

Although not listed on the tracklist, Timbaland, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell are named as collaborators in a statement via iTunes.

In October, Pharrell spoke about some of his work with Beyonce.

"B’s album is crazy," Pharrell said during a Billboard interview. "Let me tell you what it is. She’s very particular. She’s a Virgo. And she’s not going to put it out until it’s ready and feels like it’s right to her. She’s got a very specific taste. I guess that’s the reason she’s Beyonce. Her name is recognizable around the globe and that’s huge. That comes from someone that has very particular taste. When you know what you want, you won’t stop until you get it. [Other people are hearing her album] and are like 'Whoa.' And she’s like, 'Yeah, I’m almost done.' And she’s the queen."

Despite a very public announcement that included YMCMB affiliate Tyga and reportedly buying Cash Money chains to lament his new label deal, Game isn't signed to the imprint.

He's actually still a free agent, the Compton native confessed to

A year after his final album with Interscope Records, Jesus Piece, didn't sell as well as previous efforts, Game said he's focused on taking it slow. "Right now I'm just enjoying my free agency," he explained. "I had talks with Birdman and we're trying to figure out what it's going to be and how it's going to work. It definitely could work."

Game's relationship with YMCMB stretches back a decade, which may account for why he's not in any rush. Instead of jumping in too quickly, he's trying to figure out what's "best" for his own career as well as the label. "Of course nothing is written in stone, but, um, that's where I'm leaning, so we'll see," he promised.

Later in the interview, the engaged father of three clarified his relationship with Khloe Kardashian, a friendship rumored to be more than platonic in the wake of her marriage troubles with Lamar Odom.

Kardashian, daughter of deceased lawyer Robert Kardashian, who was rumored to have left his ex-wife and children a $100 million estate, used to live with Game and three other men years before she and her family made it big on the small screen.

The two forged a bond and today Game sees the reality TV beauty as "a sister" and one of his "best friends in life."

If giving Kanye West only two Grammy nominations was meant to elicit a negative response from the Chicago rapper, then the folks over at the Recording Academy accomplished their mission.

'Ye addressed the pair of nods he earned last week during his Yeezus tour stop at the US Airways Center in Phoenix Tuesday (Dec. 10) night, and was less than excited about the recognition he earned in the Best Rap Album (Yeezus) and Best Rap Song ("New Slaves") categories.

In pondering the snub, West settled on a racial discrimination theory, explaining that he has 21 Grammys ("The most Grammy of any 36-year-old," he pointed out), but tends to lose against specific artists. "Out of all those 21 Grammys, I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist,” West said.

"Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list but only gets two nominations from the Grammys," he continued. "What are they trying to say?  Do they think that I wouldn’t notice? Do they think that, someway, that I don’t have the power to completely diminish all of their credibility at this moment?"

Try as they might to rattle his foundation, West remains unshakable. "When you see me talking about what people are doing when I say 'marginalized,' when I say 'boxed in'  when I say 'hold back,' when I say 'people are afraid of the truth,' that’s one example right there in front of you," he concluded.

Just in case his feelings weren't clear enough, West yelled "F--- those nominations!" and the crowd went wild.

Mac Miller says that he and Pharrell will resume working on their "Pink Slime" projest soon.

"We actually just talked a couple days ago,” Mac Miller says during an interview with Rolling Stone.  "I'm going to go see him [in Miami] and we're going to finish it and put it out. Because the shit's ill and people want it. We both had pretty wild years. We gotta do it.”  The duo released the song "Onaroll" the next day.

In April, Miller said he needed to work on his own material before he resumed working with Pharrell.

"The Pink Slime with Pharrell was the next move for awhile,”Miller said at the time."  "So I was going down there [to Miami, Florida]. We were working. I just realized it wasn't time to do that yet, the Pharrell project. Before I take my brand and mix it with Pharrell's, I want to solidify what my brand is first. So I want to do my album first.”

Now that Miller released his Watching Movies With he Sound Off" album in June, he says it won’t take long for the two to complete Pink Slime.

"All we gotta do it sit down for a few days and knock out songs," Miller said to Rolling Stone, adding that he enjoys recording in Miami. "It's refreshing. [In L.A.] I'm in this dungeon, my little cave that's this weird-ass looking place that I just live in. And then to go to Miami, it's just so nice to see natural light and a pool and happy things. It's good."

Sony Studio has just ramped up its effort to get Will Smith and Martin Lawrence to reunite for “Bad Boys 3.”

According to, the studio is in early talks with David Guggenheim to write the script. Guggenheim is considered a hot property in Hollywood after penning the Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds action thriller “Safe House.”

Deadline’s Mike Flemming Jr.:

“Bad Boys II” was released a decade ago, and the sequel grossed $273 million on a $160 million budget.Michael Bay directed the first two, but he doesn’t seem to be involved, at least at this point. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the pic.

Sony is trying to do this with the original cast, which makes it different from the other big franchise reboots in the works, “Men In Black” and “Ghostbusters.” Those are being rebooted. With “Ghostbusters,” that has a lot to do with Bill Murray being unwilling to reprise his signature role. With “Men In Black,” the deal making on that film got to be prohibitively expensive with all the talent and producer back ends, to the point it was becoming impossible for the studio to make money.

Since making a splash with “Safe House,” Guggenheim has been working steadily on action thrillers that include a “Safe House” sequel, as well as the Scott Free-produced “Narco Sub” for Doug Liman to direct, the McG-directed “Puzzle Palace,” and “Weaponized,” an adaptation of the novel Guggenheim wrote with Nicholas Mennuti.

As someone who’s had his fair share of controversy and drama, R. Kelly knows a thing or two about rising above circumstances for the big comeback.

The singer, who just released his latest album, “Black Panties,” took time out to talk about Chris Brown and his ability to rebound, rise up and keep it moving.

For Kelly, Brown’s ups and downs over the last few years invite comparisons to many famous leaders who have experienced their own set of setbacks. In Brown’s case, the R&B vet feels the “Fine China” singer is among the strong in dealing with everything that comes with being ‘Chris Brown.

“I only feel sorry for weak people,” Kelly recently told The Guardian. “And mostly what I’ve come to find is that the weak people are the ones that are the haters. The ones that’s talking about Chris Brown, or R. Kelly, or anybody that’s successful? I feel sorry for them, not Chris Brown, because he’s obviously one strong individual to be able to do what he’s done.”

“He got knocked down a little bit and he climbed up,” continued Kellz, who started naming a trio of game changers that took their lumps only to reemerge better than ever. “ You know, that sounds like Ali to me. That sounds like Martin Luther King to me. That sounds like a lot of the greats that have walked this earth. It even sounds a little bit like Jesus to me.”

Before anyone starts blasting Kelley, the singer is quick to point out that Brown is not in the same league as Jesus. Instead, Kelly sees a common trait found in both individuals.

“I’m not saying that Chris Brown is Jesus or R Kelly is Jesus. But Jesus is the No 1 inspirer of someone being knocked down and rising again,” he stated.
