Sources tell Billboard that Andre 3000 and Big Boi are in talks to end their hiatus next year and reunite for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Outkast has long been the subject of reunion rumors ever since Andre “Andre 3000″ Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton put their Grammy-winning duo on hiatus in 2007.

Multiple sources tell Billboard that under the current plan, Coachella, which kicks off on Apr. 11, 2014 in Indio, Calif., would be the start of their reunion run and would be followed by additional festival dates in 2014.

One source tells Billboard that there have definitely been “some conversations” about Outkast reuniting, while another says it is “all systems go” for Big Boi and Andre 3000 to end their hiatus next year.

Pharrell was named GQ Hitmaker of the Year 2013 by the publication today (November 19).

The rapper-producer's year included several hits, including Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," a selection that also features T.I.

Pharrell said these songs were important because they allowed people to relax and enjoy themselves.

"Both songs are for people who need a break,” Pharrell says in the GQ profile. “There's a lot of fucked-up travesty in the world. Sometimes you just need a Hallmark card. Sometimes you just need to shake your ass."

Pharrell became the twelfth artist in Billboard Hot 100 history to hold the #1 and #2 spots at the same time this year thanks to "Blurred Lines" and"Get Lucky."

"Blurred Lines" was also a selection at the center of legal discussions between "Blurred Lines" creators and Marvin Gaye's family

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a lawsuit was filed on behalf of "Blurred Lines" makers in a California federal court in August.

“Plaintiffs, who have the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies, reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists," the lawsuit states. "Defendants continue to insist that plaintiffs' massively successful composition, 'Blurred Lines,' copies 'their' compositions."

Pharrell was also involved in a legal dispute with this year over Pharrell's company, i am OTHER.

Outside of music, Pharrell married his long-time girlfriend Helen Lasichanh in Miami in October.

The ongoing issues between Atlanta rappers and former associates Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame have continued this week with the announcement that Gucci has filed a lawsuit against both Waka and his mother, Debra Antney.

According to TMZ, the 1017 Brick Squad Records founder believes that Waka and Antney are responsible for the downfall of his music career. Court documents state that Antney became Gucci’s manager in 2006 and both Antney and Waka released Gucci’s music without his permission and also collected royalties on behalf of the rapper and his music.

“Defendants’ misrepresentations and omissions were made with the intent that plaintiffs rely upon them,” read the lawsuit, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “The plaintiffs relied on the representations and would not have entrusted (the) defendants with their careers and livelihoods otherwise.”

Gucci says he’s also found himself with tax issues due to the handling of his money by Antney. The rapper, who has requested that assets for Antney and Waka be frozen, is suing for fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy.

This year any cordial relationship the two artists may have had ultimately crumbled and was witnessed by many on social media.

Issues between Waka and Gucci began to arise in March of this year when Gucci Tweeted, “Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017. Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil nigga.”

Although a label rep stated that Gucci’s account was hacked, insults between the two rappers continued with Gucci even offering to sell Waka’s recording contract for $1 million in August.

Mostly recently, Gucci attributed his erratic behavior both online and offline to a lean addiction andoffered an apology to friends and fans.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter & Jay-Z Make Major Announcement

Barneys has canceled a planned kick-off event for "A New York Holiday," its collaboration with Jay Z, as calls for the rapper to end his partership with the high-end retailer continue to grow.

The party, which Barneys was sponsoring at an off-site location, was scheduled for Wednesday, and was intended to be a fundraiser for Jay's Shawn Carter Foundation. A spokesperson for Barneys tells the New York Daily News that the event was canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances."

Whether or not those "unforeseen circumstances" included the accusation of racial profiling levied by two shoppers against Barneys — and the criticisms Jay Z has received for continuing to work with the store — was not clear. Last month, Jay said he was holding off on deciding the fate of his BNY SCC Gallery collection (sales of which benefit underprivileged students through his Carter Foundation) until he had met with Barneys, community leaders and the New York State Attorney General's Office to discuss treatment of minority shoppers.

The CEO of Barneys soon apologized for his company's actions, and, on Friday, Jay released a statement saying he intended to move forward with the collection, under the condition that he now has a leadership role on a council "specifically convened to deal with the issue of racial profiling."

"I am in a unique position to use my voice to affect change to this disturbing issue," Jay wrote on his Life and Times website. "The easy position would have been to walk away and leave policy making to others hoping that someone addresses the problem. I will not leave the outcome to others. I will take this into my own hands with full power to recommend, review and revise policies and guidelines moving forward. I am choosing to take this head on."

Additionally, Jay announced that the Shawn Carter Foundation would now receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the BNY SCC collection (originally, it was set to receive 25 percent, with Barneys getting the remaining 75), and that the Foundation will also receive an additional 10 percent of all retail sales from Barneys stores nationwide and on November 20th.

Los Angeles, California rapper Game opened his wallet recently to provide relief to victims of the Philippines typhoon.  According to AllHipHop, Game partnered with actor/professional poker player Dan Bilzerian, as apart of his "The Robin Hood Project," to shell out $10,000 in relief. He took to Instagram on Friday to caption a statement on his involvement.

"I know many of you might've heard about the typhoon in the Philippines by now where their death total continues to rise daily and is now roughly about 2,500 bodies found dead with an expected 100-150 more daily says their President Benigno Aquino," Game said on the social media site. "This hurts my heart knowing that many of those amongst the dead are little children. Every now & again there is a tragedy that strikes somewhere around the world as the previous Thailand Tsunsmi, Haiti Earthquake & the most vicious here in the states "HURRICANE KATRINA"..... It is in these times where we as people of this world get the opportunity to unite with one another & give back, help aid, lend a hand, donate or just send prayers....... Well I am one of those people, so on behalf of @therobinhoodproject & my charitable partner @DanBilzerian we are donating $10,000 to help aid in the relief efforts to restore whatever possible in such a horrific natural disaster. As of last Friday, the Southeast Asian storm has claimed 3,621 lives, with 12,165 injured and 1,140 who have been determined missing. Many others are still sick, homeless and without food.

This isn't the first time Game has donated to a cause he deemed worthy. In September, he shelled out another $10,000 to the family of a 6-year-old Los Angeles girl who was fatally shot outside her home. Later that month, he and Drake helped cover the funeral costs for six people, including five children, who died in a house fire.

Game's "The Robin Hood Project" refers to his plan to personally donate $1 million of his personal money. The goal is targeted to hit the million-dollar mark by Christmas of this year.

Drake and Rihanna share a rocky relationship, but it seems their love for strippers have brought the two back together.

On Thursday night, the two music stars were spotted dropping some serious cake at a Houston strip club — at least that's what popular Texas dancer Jhonni Blaze told E! News.

According to the stripper, Rihanna walked into V Live Gentleman's club at 2 a.m. yesterday and was joined by Drizzy about 30 minutes later. They "looked like a couple" Blaze is quoted as saying.

Blaze said she danced for the two stars in their section after Rihanna made a request for her to come over. In total, the dancer estimates that together they spent upwards of $17,000. Blaze said she personally collected $10,000 from the couple before they left in the same vehicle after 5 a.m.

Drizzy and Rihanna have been linked together since 2009. On his debut album in 2010, Drake referenced their romance on "Fireworks" and then the two went on to collaborate on her "What's My Name" single and then again on his "Take Care" in 2011.

In June 2012, Drake and Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown got into an altercation at a NYC nightclub and Rih was rumored to be at the center of it all. "At one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap. I did what a real n---a would do and treated her with respect," Drake told hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson during an interview in April. When television show host Ellen DeGeneres asked Drake about his relationship with Rihanna when he appeared on her show in September, he was dismissive. "I'm not into do-overs," he said.

When Drake performed at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in August, Rih didn't seem to be much of a fan, while many blog sites remarked that she sported a disapproving look while he was onstage. But those reports may have been overblown because on Wednesday she was photographed in the VIP section of the Toyota Center for Drizzy's Houston stop on his Would You like a Tour? Tour.

A Tupac biopic is slated to begin shooting in spring 2014, as per  Producers and financiers from Morgan Creek and Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films, including Randall Emmett, whose production credits include End Of Watch and 2 Guns, had a reception in Santa Monica, California last week to announce the news, according to

The film has been on hold since 2011, when Morgan Creek and Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, engaged in a legal battle over the biopic. The company sued Tupac’s mother, claiming she had signed over the rights to Tupac’s music and story, and then tried to continue negotiating for creative control of the project, says. The situation was settled out of court and Shakur is now an executive producer of the forthcoming project, the story says.

The story does not identify any actors who are slated to appear in the film. On the film's IMDB page, no cast and crew is listed, other than the production staff and the film’s writers.

In September, Morgan Creek Productions and Emmett Furla Films issued a press release that the biopic would be produced by James G. Robinson, David Robinson and LT Hutton, along with Randall Emmett and George Furtla. That press release said that the motion picture would be filmed in Atlanta and that it would be centered on the life of Tupac, with the press release referring to Pac's "politically charged lyrics, inspired by his parents' activism as Black Panthers in the '60s and early '70s, condemned governmental intrusion in black communities."

Tupac was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 7, 1996. He died six days later.

At least they could laugh about it. Things got a little awkward when Nick Cannon and the cast of the new show Real Husbands of Hollywood appeared on Katie.

In the episode of Katie Courric's talk show airing Thursday, Mariah Varey's husband of five years winds up sitting next to model Selita Ebanks who happens to be his ex-fiancée.

Cannon's costars on the BET reality show, Nelly and Boris Kodjoe, laughed uncomfortably as Ebanks turned to Cannon and said, "Hi, how are you?"

That prompted the America's Got Talent host to quickly try to smooth things over. "So we'll just clear this all up," he said. "We used to be engaged, so it's not an awkward moment. They're laughing that we're sitting next to each other." He put his arm around the 30-year-old, adding, "But we're cool. We're friends."

"Maybe we should have put you guys on different chairs," Couric suggested.

But the former Victoria's Secret model explained they'd been seated together because Cannon's hot pink suit would have clashed with fellow guest Cynthia Kate McWilliams's red dress.

Turning to Ebanks, Cannon asked, "What? You didn’t want to sit next to me?"

It appeared to be a difficult question for Ebanks  whose engagement to Cannon ended in October 2007, just seven months before he married Carey, 43, in the Caribbean. As she hesitated to answer, Cannon, 33, exclaimed, "It's about to turn into a whole different kind of talk show!"

Most artists try to appeal to local crowds when they hit the road, but Atlanta rapper Trindad James did the exact opposite on Tuesday night when he performed in Brooklyn, New York.

James took the stage at Converse's Rubber Tracks studios and seemingly started off with good intentions, first praising Kendrick Lamar for pushing more than a million copies of his good kid, m.A.A.d city, then questioning the California rapper's motives on Big Sean's "Control" where he implied that he was the "king of New York."

"Now the n---a we been knew, now he coming and sayin' sh-- like he the 'King of New York.' What is that," James asked the crowd shortly before his attempt to rile up the Big Apple crowd backfired.

Trinidad stood on stage and reminisced when NYC was at the forefront of hip-hop culture, pushing both musical and fashion trends. "I remember when New York ran this sh--, dawg, when Dipset was turned the f--- up," he said, receiving applause from the crowd.

"I remember when New York rap was the sh-- and us 'bamas,' us from the South was like, 'What the f---?' And we just did our own thing, but now we run y'all musically. That's crazy," he said, much to the crowd's shock.

In a video online, one concertgoer can be heard yelling "get the f--- out of here" to the "All Gold Everything" spitter, while others in the crowd began to get antsy.

"I'm not trying to start nothin', but if you wanna do somethin' we can do somethin', I don't give a f---. I'm just being honest with you," he said before stating that NY's most popular rappers have adopted southern sounds. "Now, every n---a that's really poppin' out of New York, he might as well tell you he from Atlanta."

Trinidad didn't name anyone specifically, but Bronx, New York, rapper French Montana often gets criticized for southern-sounding hits like "Pop That," "Ocho Cinco" and "Ain't Worried About Nothin'."

Concertgoers weren't the only ones turned off by Trinidad's comments: On Wednesday (November 13), NY rap rep Manino took to Twitter. "S/O to all the NY n---as who let this Rotten Teeth n---a @TrinidadJamesGG disrespect us lastnite #whathappened," he wrote. "Heyy buddy @trinidadjamesGG I'll be ur Huckleberry! Lol imma brush those teeth when I see u baby boy. U a street n---a rite? Lmao."

"I didn't disrespect. Bt if you wanna think i did. Do what you feel is best. Either way I lose no sleep for being real. NY doesn't support NY,"responded to the criticism via Twitter.

ScHoolboy Q recently discussed his status as a gangster rapper.  "I'm not one of them rappers that's scared to put a title on their name," ScHoolboy Q said during an interview with MTV. "Conscious rappers never like to be called conscious rappers and a lyrical rapper never like to be a party rapper. I'm a gangster rapper, that's who I am. I happen to make fun records at the same time, that's what I do. I joke, I bag on niggas, my personality is like that, but I am a gangster rapper and that's what I'm gonna bring to the table."

During the interview, Q also said that gangster rappers are nowhere to be found today.

"There's no more gangster rappers," Q said. "It's just trap music now. So I wanna get that old feeling back that I do naturally. I'm not necessarily trying to bring gangster rap back. I'm just trying to let you know it's still here and I'm a part of it. I feel like I'm the only one out of the coast that's doing this gangster rap shit the way that it used to be niggas used to put detail in their music, not just going to the club and turning up."

Q said that he is going to bring that style in his upcoming album, Oxymoron.

"I'm just telling my story and what I grew up around and what I seen and what I did and I wanna put that in the light instead of everybody just smiling," ScHoolboy said. "Like Eminem said, 'Whatever happened to wildin' out and being violent?/Whatever happened to catchin a good-ol' fashioned passionate ass-whoopin' and getting your shoes coat and your hat tooken?'

"I'm one of them niggas," Q continued. "Whatever happened to that? I don't want niggas to get beat up or no shit like that, but at the end of the day, that is a part of life and I like that type of music. That's what pushed West Coast music to where it was at like when Dre, Snoop and all them...Dogg Pound. That's what they was doin' and that's what they was talking about and that's what I was raised off of."

In September, ScHoolboy Q discussed how gang history will be included in his album.

"I've never said this in an interview," ScHoolboy Q said in an interview with Life+Times. "This album is about me taking care of my daughter and Crip history from 1969 to present."

During a recent interview, Azealia Banks likened herself to Kanye West.

"Kanye is a genius," Banks said in an interview with ELLE. "Kanye and I are like the same person, but boy and girl. We’re pulling from the same cloud, the same inspiration. We’re both Geminis, we’re the two premier avant-gardists in Hip Hop music. It’s just me and him. I think our consciousnesses are swirling around each other in some weird kind of way."

During the interview, Banks also spoke about living in New York.

"I live in Washing Heights where I get a lot of bang for my buck," Banks said. "My dollar goes a long way. I’ve got a huge four-bedroom apartment for the same price that I would pay to live in a box in SoHo. I live in a really thick Hispanic neighborhood so I can play my music loud because they love their music. There’s no knocking on my door telling me to turn my music down."

Beyond this, Azealia Banks also discussed her memorization process with lyrics.

"It’s muscle memory, when you’ve done something over and over and over," she said. "When I’m writing stuff that’s really fast, I’ll speed the beat down to maybe 4 or 5 BPM, rap it at a different pace then speed it up."

Banks' interview can be read in ELLE magazine's December issue, which is in stores.

Looks like Usher is about to get caught up in court….AGAIN!

TMZ reports that singer Usher is being sued by three guys for allegedly ripping off a song they wrote called “Caught Up”.

Zacharia Edwards, Mitch Moses and Vince McClean allege that  they wrote a song called, “Caught Up” back in 2002. The trio say they played their song for a honcho at Arista Records which is Usher’s label. The guy they played it for liked it and reportedly took the song  and played it for LA Reid.  Edwards, Moses and McClean say they never heard from Arista again, but 2 years later they heard their song on the radio.

Usher’s song skyrocketed on the charts and was featured in his album, “Confessions.”

Edwards, Moses and McClean are suing for unspecified damages.

by Hot Crew posted Nov 8 2013 12:36PM is reporting that the urban legend of Tupac's phantom daughter has come back to the surface. This story is as old as the day is long but it refuses to go away and now there is a picture of a young lady to go along with it. We won’t lie..we hollered when we saw this picture because it’s pretty startling to see the rapper and the girl side by side! But no one seems to know who the girl in the picture is and if there is in fact any relation between her and the dearly departed emcee.

AllHipHop reminds us that Busta Rhymes appears to have sent a shout out to Pac’s child on his album “When Disaster Strikes” which triggered a whole lot of speculation. But it still never gave a definitive answer as to whether or not there was really a child walking around out here that Tupac created!

We hope this girl in the picture will step up and either confirm or deny these rumors as they pertain to her. Even if she tells everyone to get their lives, something is better than nothing! The silence will just prolong the discussion and her picture will continue to make it’s way around these internets.

But again…looks pretty close doesn’t it?!

Hey  who knows, maybe we’re all wrong and he’s still here like the conspiracy theorists (And Suge Knight) keep claiming! Crazier things have happened…we’re just saying!

Chief Keef is really trying to prove he’s about that thug life. The Chicago spitter is headed back to jail for 90 days after failing a random drug test.

The sad part about Chief Keef, real name Keith Cozart,  going back to jail is that he’s not taking it seriously at all. After hearing that he’ll be spending time in jail, Keef tweeted the news to his fans in a very nonchalant manner. Keef posted, “Judge Putting me Back in jail See y’all later.”

While the 18-year-old “Love Sosa” rapper will be in jail, it won’t a regular prison. He’ll be in a jail rehab for his addiction to marijuana. This recent jail sentence he was slapped with stems from failing a random drug test at his probation officer’s office. Back in May, Chief Keef was given probation for a speeding ticket. He was going 110 mph in a 55 mph area. (We told you he stays in trouble.)

This isn’t Chief Keef’s first stint in jail due to failing a drug test. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail last month, but was released early due to jail overcrowding.

The K. Michelle and Erica Mena beef storyline on Love & Hip-Hop hasn’t started to unfold yet but we know from previews, interviews and general word on the street that they don’t get along. The new word on the street according to Erica Mena is that K. Michelle has been hating on her for no reason. Mena also called K. Michelle “trash and says that she’s scared of her NY-realness.

“I haven’t really had the pleasure of going face-to-face with her,” she told “She has a lot to say about me, but she’s scared to shoot with me.”

The two haven’t gotten into a physical altercation just yet but it might be brewing.

“She’s coming from out of nowhere. Now, all of a sudden she has some harsh opinions about me, and she doesn’t even know me,” she said. “Right now, she’s just feelin’ her own $h!t! B.o.B. recently addressed plans for his next album,Underground Luxury

"I want to say that this project is a project that is kind of like a contrasting title, you know, Underground Luxury," B.o.B. said in an interview with Montreality. "I would say, to paraphrase it, this is connecting the dots, from who I was as an artist before the major success to where I'm at now. And it's a lot more unfiltered and unedited than anything I've ever done. So I think it's going to be a great project, great, monumental, career shifting project. I'm actually done with it, but we're really just having fun with it, man. We're making a movie, you know, me and my team. We're just kind of sitting back and watching everything, watching how people respond to music."

The music B.o.B. has been making goes beyond his forthcoming solo effort. The Georgia rapper said he is also working with T.I. and Hustle Gang on a group project.

"We're working on the Hustle Gang album," B.o.B. said. "Everybody's working on a project. So we got songs flying left and right. So we just trying to consolidate everything and then we're gonna get them on out the door."

Aside from making new music, B.o.B. has also announced plans for heading a new record label.
